Instructions for installing NPI
Upgrade to version 2.0.0.5.s or higher.
If you are upgrading from version 2.0.0.5m or higher:
- choose settings / reset system defaults.
If you are Lytec 2006 or lower:
- Choose settings / change system defaults
- Press down arrow on "new system version" and choose your Lytec
version
The following NPI fields must be filled:
If 2006 or 2007: (Use SET10)
- Fill in the Referring national provider ID for all referring physicians
- Fill in the provider national provider ID and tax id or social security
for all providers
- Fill in the facility national provider ID for all facilities
- Fill in the provider group provider ID field
If XE, 2004 & 2005 (Use Set09)
- Fill in Referring provider other ID for all referring physicians
- Fill in provider other ID and tax id or social security for all providers
- Fill in facility custom 1 for all facilities
- Fill in provider custom field 1 with the group NPI for all providers
If XE, 2004 & 2005, and you prefer to use ins cust1 for group NPI (Use
set07)
- Fill in Referring provider other ID for all referring physicians
- Fill in provider other ID and tax id or social security for all providers
- Fill in facility custom 1 for all facilities
- Fill in insurance custom field 1 with the group NPI for all providers
